Dive Sites off Galway and Mayo coastline.

The following dive site map shows a selection of the dive sites many of which are a short boat journey away from Scubadive West.

Sheltered Shore Diving in Little Killary  Shore Diving @ Scubadive West in Galway

At Scubadive West we have our own private sheltered cove which is ideal for training, dry suit orientation, local orientation and the popular "Try-a-Dive".

Those of you who haven't dived for a while or want to try out some new equipment will find the cove a great place to get back into the swing of things.

It's also a very popular spot for night diving.

Inshore Boat Diving

Departing in our boats from the dive centre, visit a variety of sites suitable for beginners and advanced alike and all within minutes! You might like to "Feed the Congers" or dive the wreck of the "Julia T"; these are just two examples of the dives we offer. Our inshore boat dives take place daily at 10am and 2pm with our year round inshore boat diving schedule.

Island Dive Safaris

Further out are the islands of Inis Boffin, Inis Turk and Clare Island. These islands have a spectacular array of different dive sites to suit all.

It is quite usual to have dolphins around the boats at and on the way to dive sites. Seals frequent many of the caves dotted around the islands.

Our Island Dive Safaris are an excellent way to visit these offshore dive sites.

Drift Dives

One of the most exciting dives on offer is the Streamstown Drift Dive, where you can obtain speeds of up to 4 knots per hour!
